Then the NEX store along with several emails leaked from CCP staff and or CEO, protesting in Jita and the masses were placated by the GODs of New Eden as I giggled fully expecting what happened to appease the children. Many Eve players burned up their computers with the new tweaking to the graphics. Combination of who knows what happened but when you overclock for no reason you deserve a computer sitting there as the blue smoke escapes and from what i heard it was mostly those with Nvidia cards. No idea what was done to resolve this. personally i do not care.
But for WiS, CCP could make more money if they already had Deployed it already but instead they made empty promises in FanFest concerning it or was it a 10 sec blurp on it that can ran over with the FW new tweaks.
The steps CCP should have taken 1> Keep its big mouth shut 2> play with it on their servers fixing issues 3> prepare NEX store ONLY with fashion items 4> Remember STEP 1! 5> Make sure DEVs have diffrent computers built out of their own pockets or something. 6> have ALL the DEVs play with new toy on THEIR server for a few weeks (Vacation time and drunk DEVs. WOOHOO!!!) 7> Compare notes go over issues 8> Remember STEP 1! and WHATEVER YOU DO...DO NOT TELL CSM ABOUT THIS. 9> Rework what needs to be fixed 10> Repeat steps 6 through 9 as needed then move on. 11> Drop the new toy into the public Test Server and now you can drop the bomb on the CSM.
I wonder how difficult it is to get a job there Would you really want a job where you are beholden to the whims of the eve-o forums? lol AAA citizens, prepare to burn |

Hey Team Avatar that's pretty cool what you guys are prototyping. I now hope for and anticipate wis as long as it is not just a bunch of dudes dressing up emoting each other /dance in a station. I mean you guys release very little info so I've been assuming the worst scenario for months. |

Natsett Amuinn wrote:People didn't quit because of CQ.
It's just a convenient excuse for the handful of people who don't want to see EVE evolve. There a LOT of people who rarely log in, or only log in long enough to update market orders and production stuff, and then log out because they have nothing else to do. WiS would expand the game.
One of its biggest hurdles to attracting new players is the fact that you're a spaceship. FiS is not the entirety of CCP's vision of EVE. Some of you need to suck it up and quit acting like a bunch of douchebag children who expects CCP to do only what they demand.
I wish CCP would just do the damn thing and let the people who don't like it ******* leave. WiS will bring in more people to EVE then they would lose.
evolve into a second life freakshow? i hope not |

I demand real content and gameplay, not frivolous freakshow junk. You are not an avatar or a ship in eve, All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break them for no one. Do you understand?
no seriously, you are what you do/done in eve, and that's why i hope wis is not only 07m8 /dance |

Kal Shada wrote:It's too bad CCP caved to the crybabies of Jita. A large majority of eve players like the poster above are too dumb to realize that they don't have the imagination to think of what they're going to like in upcoming expansions. They can't see past their hulls and don't realize how much useful, fun and entirely parallel content could some from being able to walk around on foot. How about having a war room where you can efficiently FC over large fleet battles on a map? How about being able to trade for valuable, illegal contraband in bulk amounts while concord's not looking? How about virtual eve poker, (not that normal eve poker is bad), for large amounts of isk?
My point is- do you tell authors how to write books? Vice versa: Does a good author let his fans dictate his stories? The answer is a big NO.
Incarna will come out eventually which is great, but CCP should have put it out when they planned to. The people who were going to quit just because they didn't like an expansion should have been dropped anyway- I mean if they're going to discharge their bowels about Incarna now they'll do it in the future too. So at some point the good people at CCP need to do the right thing and just let the babies cry it out.
hey that's awesome fcs won't be primaried by the party poopers. |

We'd have nothing against people camping out in these structures. That said making actual gameplay gives us a much better point to add social areas as you note yourself they share a lot of the same technology requirements. So I'd rather hope that we did both. I wonder in what point "actual gameplay" became "dungeon raiding shooter", as i can't recall that anyone asked the players interested on WiS what did they want or expect from it.
Team Avatar is prototyping as we speak, but "Meaningful/Actual" sure as hell aint a bunch of dudes emoting each other in a station. |

For me WiS is not something that only 0.0 players should benefit from. It should be available to all who wish to participate. Rewards should be justified though. The more you danger you put yourself in, the more rewards you should reap.
The WiS ecosystem should tie in with FiS gameplay, this shouldn't be some stand-alone gameplay avenue that doesn't effect pilot-based only players. Manufacturing could play a part in this for example.
Death with your avatar (if used) does lead to some interesting 'perma-death' questions. (Who would vote for a EvE hardcore mode?)
If WiS Exploration uses a 'Redshirt' model, then hardcore mode would be just fine. Otherwise we'll just use that magic DUST tech tyvm.
I think we are capsuleers, as in pilots, our brains are wired differently, we need to hold an exponentially larger store of knowledge to pilot ships than ground grunts working with small-arms, therefore we cannot use DUST tech.
